9/5: Beach Clean-up at Cherie Down Park 8am-10 am. Gloves and safety equipment provided. All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information visit northbeachcleanup@seaturtlespacecoast.org

9/12: First Annual Kite Festival at Cherie Down Park is fun for all ages and admission is free. The event will be held from 10am to 2pm and the first 100 participants receive a free kite kit. The day will feature flying demonstrations, competition, and kite building tutorials. Concessions will be available and live music performed by General Eyes. 9/18: Free Movie in the Park, Mr. Peabody & Sherman at Canaveral City Park at 8pm. Bring your blankets or lawn chairs and relax. Concession sales benefit Brevard Sheriff’s PAL. The park is located at 7920 Orange Avenue. For more information call the Leisure Services office at (321) 868-1226.

10/3: Presented by The Cove Merchant Association, this walk and run event aims to support the fight against cancer. A $25 donation is required to participate, and all entrants receive an official t-shirt and commemorative medal. 9/26: Stomp Thru the Swamp 5k at F. Burton Smith Regional Park. View wildlife while trudging through the bushes and mud. The cost is $10.00 for the 5K and $5 for the 3K. Proceeds benefit Brevard County Parks and Recreation Youth Programs and the Central Florida Council of the Boy Scouts of America. 9/26: Under the Harvest Moon Sip & Stroll in the Historic Cocoa Village from 5pm-9pm. A commemorative wine or beer glass and shopping bag comes with every ticket. 9/4-9/7: 30th Annual NKF Rich Salick Pro Am Surf Festival is a four day surf competition that benefits the National Kidney Foundation. It will feature a Big Island Dinner, live concerts, bikini contests, silent auctions and surf clinics. 9/17-9/20: 5th Annual Space Coast Music Festival

9/19: First Annual Pirates on the Beach Pub Crawl

Avast me hardies!  Drink and be merry, for a portion of each pub crawl ticket goes to EARTH Awareness. Dress as a pirate or just talk like one. Pub Crawl begins at 7pm at the Beach Shack at Minuteman Causeway and ends at midnight. Each ticket cost $15 and entitles the bearer five drinks. You must be at least 21 years old to purchase tickets and participate. Find out more on Facebook.

9/19: Cocoa Beach Women’s Anniversary Reception at the Cocoa Beach Country Club from 2pm-4pm. The Club will be recognized by Brevard County and the city of Cocoa Beach for their exemplary service over 50 years of volunteer work in the Cocoa Beach community.

9/25-9/27: Central Brevard Art Association’s Annual Fall Juried Art Show. Over 30 artists from the CBAA showcasing their work. Friday & Saturday from 9am- 5pm, Sunday from 1pm– 4pm. The art show will take place at the Cocoa Beach Library, 550 North Brevard Avenue.

9/26: Matt’s Bicycle Center Re-Grand Opening. Come to Matt’s at 166 N. Atllantic Avenue in Cocoa Beach for food, games, and raffles. Must be present to win. For more information, call the shop at 321-783-1196.

9/12: 2015 Turtle Krawl 5k Run/Walk at Nance Park. This is the largest 5k race in Brevard County and proceeds benefit the Sea Turtle Preservation Society. Age Group Winners are awarded sea turtle shaped metals. The first 3,000 registrants will receive Turtle Crawl Tech shirts and other amenities. The 2015 Turtle Krawl starts at 7:30am. 9/12: Icons: Mancini & Hamlisch concert presented by Space Coast Symphony Orchestra spotlights movie scores from two musical heroes. Listen to legendary award winning music from classic movies. Featuring songs from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, The Spy who Loved Me and the Pink Panther. The concert is from 7-10pm and tickets are $20. Students 18 & under are free. 9/12: Space Coast Mud Run at Wickham Park will include mud pits and obstacles to keep you on your toes. Wall climbs, mole hills and cargo nets challenge you at every step. Every participant will be awarded medals and the first 300 entries will receive a t-shirt. Early Registration is $25, at the event $35. 9/20: Cultural Arts Showcase at the King Center. The Brevard Symphony Orchestra, EGAD, and the King Center for the Performing Arts provide a day full of free family activities celebrating the talent found all over the Space Coast and beyond. 9/25-9/27: Space Coast Pride Festival Weekend. EGAD hosts the 2015 Annual Space Coast Pride Festival with events, entertainment, food, drink and celebrations!
